Rural Bursary/Scholarship

The Bucks County Show Rural Bursary/Scholarship is open to anyone under the age of 30 who lives in Buckinghamshire and any of its adjoining counties (Beds, Berks, Herts, Northants and Oxford) and who has an interest or project which will be enhanced by the additional funds made available.  The purpose of the bursary is to encourage projects or development of ideas in the field of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Conservation or Countryside Recreation.

A special committee of the Show Association will choose the winner.  The prize of £1000 awarded to the applicant who submits the best proposal on how they would spend the Bursary/Scholarship to help them achieve their objectives.  The proposal should be written on this form (additional pages may be included if required).

Applications must be submitted on this form by 31st October 2015 and sent to The Bucks County Agricultural Association, The Old Barn, Wingbury Courtyard Business Village, Leighton Road, Wingrave, Bucks, HP22 4LW.  Proposals will be reviewed during November and the winner notified in early December.

The winner will be invited to prepare a talk on their project to be given at the next appropriate AGM after completion of the project.
